Đại học San José (San José State University) được thành lập năm 1857. Tọa lạc trên mảnh đất 154 mẫu Anh tại trung tâm thành phố San José, California. Đại học San José tổ chức các chương trình đào tạo thông qua 7 trường cao đẳng và 6 trường khác: nghệ thuật và khoa học ứng dụng, kinh doanh, giáo dục, kỹ thuật, nghệ thuật nhân văn, khoa học xã hội, mỹ thuật và thiết kế, báo chí và truyền thông đại chúng, khoa học thông tin và thư viện, âm nhạc và khiêu vũ, điều dưỡng và công tác xã hội.
Lý do chọn trường:
- Là Viện ĐH công lập lâu đời nhất phía Tây Hoa Kì, nơi giao thoa của nhiều nền văn hóa nổi tiếng trên thế giới cũng như nắm giữ vai trò quan trọng trong việc hình thành và phát triển nền kinh tế của bang.
- Trường nằm trong top 10 trường ĐH khu vực miền Tây có chương trình Master tốt nhất (U.S. News & World Report).
- Là nơi cung ứng nguồn nhân lực chủ yếu cho các công ty, tập đoàn trong khu vực Silicon Valley.
- Có chương trình tiếng Anh chuyên ngành và nâng cao dành cho SV chưa đủ điều kiện tiếng Anh để nhập học ĐH.
